Phoenix Sound Studios Is Proudly Off-Grid and Fully Sustainable
At Phoenix Sound Studios, great sound doesn’t cost the earth.
Since May 2025, we’ve operated on 100% renewable energy, completely off-grid, and proudly committed to a cleaner, more sustainable future. Our studio is powered entirely by the sun, with no reliance on the power grid.
⚡ The Setup That Powers the Sound
- 68 x 440-watt solar panels soak up the sun, providing robust generation capacity.
- 2 x 10kW inverters keep everything running smoothly—gear, lights, air conditioning, you name it.
- 40kW of battery storage means we’re powered day and night, rain or shine.
- Rock-Solid 230V Power – Our system delivers a consistent, regulated 230 volts, unlike the grid’s fluctuating and unreliable supply.
🌱 Our Environmental Impact
Since May 2025, Phoenix Sound Studios has generated 8.92 MWh of clean solar energy and consumed 5.46 MWh of renewable electricity completely off-grid.
4.04 Tonnes CO₂-e emissions displaced
That’s approximately equivalent to:
- 🌳 67 trees — the estimated CO₂ sequestration of 67 urban tree seedlings grown for 10 years
- 🚗 11 months of driving — equivalent to the annual emissions of a typical petrol passenger vehicle
- ☀️ 8,920 kWh of solar energy generated
🔋 Why That Power Matters
Our isolated off-grid power is more than just green—it’s clean and stable. That means:
- No voltage dips or surges that stress sensitive equipment.
- Preamps, computers, and converters run smoother, quieter, and cooler.
- Gear lasts longer, performs more reliably, and sounds better.
Whether you’re running vintage analog gear or modern high-end digital systems, clean power equals clean sound.
